BITSMUN Society, BITS Pilani is an organisation that advances understanding of the United Nations and contemporary international issues. We positively affect lives of participants and prepare them to be better global citizens through quality educational experiences that emphasize collaboration and cooperative resolution of conflict. We envision a world comprised of civically engaged people who strive for peaceful, multi-lateral conflict resolution and equitable, sustainable human development.

BITSMUN focuses on cooperative, hands-on learning to allow students to confront a range of topics with the perspective of their assigned country or organization. Through these experiences - during preparation, in committee sessions, and lobbying – BTISMUN participants develop an appreciation of differing viewpoints, the frustration of negotiation, the rewards of cooperation and a broader view of the human side of international relations and diplomacy.

Conference Ambassador Program

Ambassadors play the vital role of communicating opportunities that BITSMUN offers to students in their institutions. As an ambassador, you learn about the BITSMUN brand and the unique programs that we offer. Our ambassadors recruit delegates to attend our conferences through innovative ideas such as hosting events, use of traditional and social media, organising panel events, visiting schools and study centres that share our target students and collaborating with relevant organisations. Conference Ambassadors get together with the organising committee for comprehensive brainstorming and event planning sessions. Recruited ambassadors are given toolkits and are allowed to independently lead promotional campaigns.

Reimbursements for promotional activities shall be granted by us post scrutiny, by our supervisors, of the ambassador's detailed execution plans and costs incurred therein. Active ambassadors are acknowledged at our conferences annually.

Intra-BITS Model UN Conference

Intra-BITSMUN is an initiative of the BITSMUN Society undertaken with the aim of spreading awareness about MUNs in and around Pilani. It serves as the perfect forum for students to familiarise themselves with MUN procedures and keep themselves updated about relevant and pressing international issues. The event is open for students from BITS Pilani, Birla Public School and Birla Balika Vidyapeeth. The best delegate shall directly be chosen for BITSMUN and will receive a 100% registration fee waiver for it.
